Lonely Planet - Glasgow, Scotland: LUNCH trip

Went to Glasgow last Saturday with Angeline to see Kak Pinaz who used to live in Brighton before moving to Glasgow. Well, a long overdue trip to see her and at last we managed to squeeze our time to pay her a visit (ampun kak! i know she is reading my blog...hehehehe).

...sweet Kak Pinaz and Angeline...sorry my pic is still banned to be published here...

...after we finished our city sightseeing, straight to Kak Pinaz's place and she asked us what to have for lunch...i just 'play-play' to say Nasi Dagang or Traveller's Rice...hehehehehe...

...so unbelievable that she did cook Nasi Dagang...

...with motherly love, she cooked Nasi Dagang with sweet smile even though she was not really feeling well in the morning...

...taaadddaaaa...the Traveller's Rice...yummmyyyy...and she did 'tapau' for us but because of something happened in heaven, we forgot to take it back home...sob, sob, sob...

...so to compensate the loss, i cooked the Traveller's Rice this morning and for the fish dish, i used the tuna instead of mackerel...hehehehe...

...taddaaaaaa...my version of nasi dagang...althought it was not so delicious as Kak Pinaz's, my nasi dagang still heavenly tasted (of course la...)
...hehehehehe...yeeehaa....the tuna curry, cucumber achar, coconut sambol and the rice...what a fragrant rice full of fenugreek flavour...

you really can cook "nasi dagang"..WOW!!!!

one thing i'm pretty sure is, you people staying abroad very creative to find the substitute to any products that you couldn't find there...

used the tuna instead of mackerel is really brilliant ideas...:)

hej! mazddaud...hehehehe...must be creative so we won't miss home much...:) but we can find virtually everything over here...costly but cheap...hhhmmm...what i said this, costly but cheap...hehehehe...yeah, if a kilo of cashew nut is £5.75 then i think it is cheap provided that you don't convert the money...and a 10kg of onion is just £2...so everything is cheaaaaappppp...:)
