Durham

Durham - a small county, to the south of Newcastle upon Tyne, where the river Wear flows to the North Sea. Spent half day scouting the town.

The Prebends Bridge built by George Nicholoson for the Dean and Chapter from 1772 - 1778. It has been restored in 1955 and took two years to be completed. The restoration works completed in 1956.


Durham Castle, where some of the Harry Porter's scenes have been filmed here.
