Lonely Planet - Stavanger, NORWAY

An unplanned break that brought me to Norway, a fjord land that i used to dream to visit when i was in primary school. Yeah, at last i landed on the shore of Norway. This was my second time traveling by cruise across the North Sea, treacherous during winter. Have a calm cruising all the way to Stavanger, a gateway city to Pulpit Rock. I have a great time and one of the great thing that i managed to have a glimpse of Orca for just a second with my naked eyes!

Preikestolen or Pulpit Rock is an extraordinary rock formation, which is perfectly square flat rock with approximately measurement of 25m x 25m. Thousands of tourists have visited this rock over the years and this time i was one of the statistics! Fantastics! Took Rodne Fjord Cruise from Stavanger and the cruise ticket is NOK350 but i've managed to get NOK250 instead which is around £25...i used my charm...hehehehe... The cruise trip took 3-hour and stopped at a few places particularly at Fossen (a waterfall with the story of 7 maidens who were pregnant when drank the water! hehehehe...phhheeewwww...lucky that i haven't got pregnant becaue i have been given the water to taste...), The Goats or Geitene, where there are three white mountain goats at the foot of Pulpit Rock, Fantahala or vagabond's cave named after a small group of vagabonds hid from a cruel of ruler a long, long time ago, the Pulpit Rock, and passed through Tingholmen, Adnoy Island, Oanes, Forsand, Lysefjorden, Lysefjordsenteret, Skredderneset, Helleren and Eiane.

...leaving Stavenger Harbour...

...rocky islands along the fjord...

...some settlements along the fjord...

...one of the waterfalls along the fjord...

...the cruise boat stopped at the seven maidens waterfall and get the water...

...the captain and crew members gave the water
to everybody to taste...refreshing...

...next the famous Pulpit Rock...

...at the Goats of the foot of Pulpit Rock...

...three white mountain goats...

...the Vagabond cave...

...a bridge across the fjord..a breath taking experience cruising along the fjord...
